Professor Vanderson Gomes is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu legend with an incredible journey in the world of martial arts. Starting his training in Judo at the young age of 7 and transitioning to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at 13 in 1993, he has dedicated his life to the sport. His competitive career has been decorated with numerous prestigious titles, including 3 World Championship medals, European, North American, Brazilian, and Pan American Champion titles, as well as multiple IBJJF gold medals.

Not only a seasoned competitor, but Professor Vanderson also served as an IBJJF referee in Europe and the USA for 16 years. He played a pivotal role in establishing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu schools across the United States, helping spread the art to countless practitioners.

Currently, Professor Vanderson teaches at his own school in St. Louis, where he continues to share his extensive knowledge and experience. His passion for teaching is evident, particularly with kids. He truly believes in the power of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to positively impact the lives of children, guiding them toward growth, discipline, and confidence.
